Artist Judith de Leeuw made a documentary about why we as human beings collect so much stuff. You can watch the video here. I really like this idea and it is a subject that also bothers me, but at the same time I am still buying things. Maybe I should start with getting rid of all my books. I’ll keep my copies of Walden by Thoreau and The System of Objects by Baudrillard of course.
