The sound of the B-52’s is great. This is mostly due to the great sound that Ricky Wilson produced. Using his Mosrite guitar with only four strings in an open tuning he managed to play both bass and guitar lines.

Next Thursday and Friday Einstürzende Neubauten from Berlin will start their European and American tour in the Melkweg in Amsterdam to celebrate their 30th anniversary. Sehnsucht has always been one of my favorite songs by the band. They may have never reached big audiences, but together with bands like The Fall from Manchester and may be Sonic Youth from New York they influenced a lot of other bands.

Pretty weird stuff from South Africa. Click here for an interesting post from blog Boing Boing about Die Antwoord. They also requested and published the lyrics that are an interesting mix of English, Xhosa, Afrikaans and Prawn.
